5th GLOBAL DAY FOR DARFUR (D4D5) is APRIL 13

For FIVE YEARS the international community has permitted ongoing genocide in Darfur. Since 2003, approximately 450,000 farmers in Darfur have been murdered, raped, their livestock killed, their crops and homes burned and their water points destroyed. Two million survivors have been driven from their homes to starve them to death.
D4D5 will focus on the disastrous effects of the ongoing genocide on children and youth, many of whom have been orphaned. 1.4 million young people have been driven from their homes, where they face starvation, rape and abduction.
